Designed for individuals or teams of staff who work in the primary setting, this session will elevate your practice. The presenter will help you build a practical toolbox and answer questions such as ‘how long do I try a strategy?’, ‘when do I know it’s working?’, ‘am I over relying on this strategy?’, ‘how do I fit this strategy into the wider framework?’

The topics covered during this workshop include:

  • Creating student profiles
  • Setting up accessible and inclusive classroom environments
  • Effective instructional approaches
  • Strategies for positive classroom engagement
  • Whole class approaches

NB: the content in this session is the same as the strategies component of the ‘Autism and Key Strategies: Primary School Setting, however focuses solely on the strategies component without an overview of understanding autism
