Opportunity to codesign Autistics' Guide To Adulthood Learn more

COVID-19 information

At Autism SA, the health, safety and wellbeing of our clients, employees and our wider community remain our highest priority.

We continue to monitor advice from the federal and South Australian governments and respond in line with the latest guidance.

Currently:

  • There is no requirement to report a positive rapid antigen test result to Autism SA. This aligns with the SA Health advice that individuals are not required to isolate or report if they test positive but should follow health advice and stay home while unwell.
  • Autism SA continues to operate under a robust infectious diseases procedure and Outbreak Business Continuity Plan (BCP). While these are internal documents, you can be assured our processes are in place and aligned with current best practice.
  • If you are unwell with symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or if you test positive, you should follow the public health guidance from SA Health: stay home until your acute symptoms resolve, avoid crowded indoor settings, wear a mask if you must leave home and avoid visiting people at high risk of severe illness.

What this means for you

If you feel unwell:

  • Stay home and take time to recover.
  • If you test positive, you don’t need to notify Autism.
  • Your return to any Autism SA site should be in line with your healthcare provider’s advice and SA Health guidelines.
  • Continue to follow all standard hygiene, infection control and workplace health practices at Autism SA.
