What is a psychological assessment?
A psychological assessment can be a prelude to psychological therapy, and will typically focus on depression, anxiety, stress, and general mental wellbeing. The aim of the assessment is to identify the presence of mental illness, and to assist in the development of an appropriate intervention plan.
Psychological assessments are tailored to the needs of the individual, and may include a report and referral for other services at Autism SA, to external support services, a GP or ongoing therapy.

How can I benefit from a psychological assessment?
As a result of an assessment, psychological supports may be planned for and developed in collaboration with an individual and their families and allies. If desired, supports can also be put in place for other co-occuring conditions that may also be impacting on mental well-being.
